MTMM (Reflections)

"your death mors mea,
because all is One"

[-b rightful]

COMMENT:
A commentary on this aphorism is a must, as
lends itself to some misunderstanding.
In its literal meaning the text looks heavy and desperate
, suggesting that the death of a person
- more or less near and dear to us - it involves
impossible to continue living.

And indeed, at times, the record shows us how
this possibility may also occur. When
the loss of a family member strikes a
already fragile physical or mental health problems can also happen
that this carries with it
also that of other family members, directly to
free choice, or indirectly through disease
body or mind. Consider that my maternal grandmother
died at six months after her husband, which was very much tied
. I myself, as well
my mother, I'm not struggling to regain a little momentum
life after the passing of my father.
The lack of physicality, his energy and
soul is strong, since the arrangement between us, even
suit made of smiles and was very large.

In this sense, although I believe that
the feeling of life should be a disproportionate power against every
possible temptation to escape or surrender to
death - a feeling which is based on the immortality of our
spiritual part - however,
understand the reasons for those who find themselves succumbing to such a situation
.

However, the profound sense that I would like to express
with this ruling is another. It
, echoes and is opposed to the more famous,
that history has bequeathed to us: the famous " your death, life
mea
" based on the consciousness of nature Animal
man and his fall, in part, under the Laws
that Nature has put in place.
According to this common way of speaking and thinking,
conservative instinct or "survival" individual
(from "live above / beyond" the others) would like the
death of others, even those relatively close,
be useful to the maintenance and progress of our
life. In part, and with due distinction is really so
. Such logic, however, be released from any
moral law and subject only to
the so-called "Jungle" or "stronger",
leads inevitably to justify war and violence
tout court.
If we consider, however, the man, even or especially
from its divine and spiritual nature , we see that the optical
you can flip easily.
If we give more value to what unites us than
what differentiates us, the love that unites us than divides us
that otherness, we will not see in most other
something different from us, but a piece
of our own being, a manifestation of
same principle that moves us. In short, if we apply
really the biggest and last of the commandments
recommended by Jesus in his earthly mission
, that ' love each other,
as I have loved you ", then it is clear that
the death of our brother human touches us as our
death itself, and we must do everything possible to avoid
.

But it is only in the Catholic religion that we find this
primacy of com-union with others ,
understood precisely as a union of different means of
something in common to them.

Ben more radical affirmation of the unity of all creatures
fund
and, generally, of all things
is Hinduism, that the concept of Brahman ,
(link) is based since its inception.

Below are some quotes from Wikipedia
collected about this issue. E 'pointless paraphrase. The four collections of

"hymns of the Vedas
the 'primordial origin" is denoted by the term
Tat (That ) and not yet with the term Brahman

"There' then it was death or immortality.
There was no difference between night and day.
breathing, but there was no air, for his power, only
That, alone. addition to the null
there
"[Rigveda, X, 129, 2] In the following

own theological and philosophical reflection the Upanishads Vedic the term
Brahman (in the form "neutral") indicates
cosmic unity from which all proceeds
, the origin of any
thing, the Absolute :

"Invisible , ungraspable, without family or caste,
without eyes or ears, no hands or feet, eternal
, omnipresent, all-pervading ,
thin, not subject to deterioration, it is what
sages consider matrix of all creation
. As the spider emits the [wire] and
reabsorbed as the ground herbs grow like a living man born
hair and the hair, so
dall'Indistruttibile you build the whole "
[Mundaka Upanishad, I ,1,6-7]

It also identifies with the individual principle, the Atman
:

"Whatever this subtle essence, all
the universe is made of it, it is the reality of
all, it is the Atman
. What are you
(Tat tvam Asi) or Svetaketu!
Continue your education or sir!
Well, my dear, "replied"
[Chandogya Upanisad, VI, 8, 6-7]

and, with its vibration creative Om :

" The Om is the universe . Here's his explanation:
Past, present and future, all this is Om .
And what is over time, which was, is and will
is Om. In fact everything is Brahman.
Atman is Brahman "
[Mandukya Upanishads; 1-2]

Finally, it is also in the religious practices of Native
Americans who find this principle. All
metaphysical knowledge of the people of
Lakota, for example, is summed up in
"
Mitakuye Oyasin " (link), which, translated, means:
"everything is relative of mine." Every one origin,
that the Great Spirit - Watan Tanka -
and for this reason everything is linked and associated with
all the others, and the extent of
awareness of this fundamental identity, depend on them.
